Our trip to Wahweap Hoodoos in the southeast part of Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument – four miles along a desert wash to the strangest hoodoos ever. The spectacular white hoodoos are formed by erosion of soft Entrada Sandstone (legs of the mushrooms); they bear boulders of more stable dark Dakota Sandstone (caps of the mushrooms).
